Apologies for not stating sooner. The Council meeting has been reconfirmed for the 30th of March. We really need quorum this time, as we have decisions which need to be ratified.

Yesterday (the 10th of March) was the first council meeting of 2010.
The 2010 Council would like to thank the delegates that did attend the meeting. Unfortunately half way though quorum was lost due to some delegates leaving the meeting. The meeting continued, however the decisions of the inquorate council will need to be ratified next meeting.
The level of attendance suggests that Wednesday is not the best night for most delegates.Next meeting will likely fall on a Tuesday night. Delegates will be notified by email.
I'd also like to further remind clubs that over the next few weeks the CA will be auditing clubs to remove inactive clubs. This will also have the benefit of lowering quorum for Council meetings.
A major indicator of 'activity' will be your delegate's attendance at council. Clubs that have already attended either O'Week or the first Council meeting are currently considered active. If your club hasn't been to either it will make it even more important for your club to send your delegate to council for the next meeting.
It should not be necessary to highlight the importance of having council meetings, however the next meeting will be particularly important as the CA Constitution will be discussed and amended. This will be in addition to the normal Council business including of associating provisionally affiliated clubs and reviewing grants applications (Now especially important as we can no longer reimburse clubs for costs).
Hopefully the minutes of yesterday's meeting will be available online soon.
Tristan,
CA Secretary.
